Real Wedding: Ellie & John
All of the weddings we're involved in as the invitation and stationery supplier are special but when it's a Pure HQ "family" wedding it's extra special. Ellie is the daughter of Jo who is the print lead at Pure Invitation, and who has been with the business for eight years. Jo runs all of the print machines ensuring all of our invitation and stationery orders are printed perfectly.
So, when Ellie and John got engaged in 2021 there was no question of who would be their invitation supplier!
Ellie and John got married in the village of Hatton in Warwickshire, on a sunny day in April. In Ellie's own words here's their 'how wet met' story:
"We met back in 2020 during the lockdown, through a dating app, and our first date was a walk at a local country park Coombe Abbey and straight away we clicked!
John was told shortly after we met that he was being posted down to Wiltshire with the army and said to me that if this was too much then he wouldn’t be offended if I wanted to call things off, but we decided that if it was meant to be, then it would work. And boy did it 100% work! We made the effort to see each other regularly and when the second lockdown hit in January 2021, we zoomed every single day until we could see each other again.
Fast forward to December 2021, and John proposed on one knee in front of the stunning Salisbury Cathedral – a place that we love dearly. We celebrated in a local pub and wanted to FaceTime our parents to tell them the exciting news; when we asked for the Wi-Fi password the pub responded with “it’s ‘I love you’”. If that wasn’t a sign I don’t know what is!"
"I don’t think I have one favourite part of the wedding. It was the most amazing day from start to finish. But if I had to choose, it would be saying our vows. To know that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with my best friend was the best feeling in the world!"
Ellie and John chose the Demi range to compliment their rustic theme and rust / copper colours, sending the Demi invitations to their guests and using the matching on the day stationery to dress the tables and create a beautiful table plan.
The celebration was a real Pure HQ affair as the wedding cake was made by our Marketing Manager, Jenny!
