Real Wedding: A Relaxed and Heartfelt Weekend at Middle Coombe Farm, Devon
We’re so excited to share this gorgeous real wedding, written by our wonderful couple Ayshe and Mark. From the intimate guest list to the homegrown flowers and Aperol spritzes, their celebration at Middle Coombe Farm in Devon was bursting with personal touches, relaxed vibes, and so much heart.
Ayshe and Mark chose our Nyla collection for their wedding invitations, signage, and on-the-day stationery — all in a stunning, custom colour combination that perfectly complemented their effortlessly elegant styling.

Here’s their wedding weekend in their own words — a true reminder that when love leads the way, the details fall beautifully into place.
We were incredibly lucky with our wedding — not just because everything ran beautifully, but because we were surrounded by amazing friends who brought so much talent, heart, and joy to every detail.
The Venue: Middle Coombe Farm, Devon
We chose the beautiful Middle Coombe Farm in Devon for our wedding weekend. It’s near our dear friends Aurora and George Aykroyd, who run the brilliant local restaurant The Lost Kitchen — their incredible team catered for the whole weekend (and we mean the entire weekend!).

We hired the venue from Thursday to Monday and invited our 30 guests, including our children, to stay with us onsite. It felt more like a family holiday than a traditional wedding — relaxed, intimate, and filled with love.
The Weekend Itinerary
- Thursday: We arrived and settled in with close family. Claire, my best friend and planner, flew in from Greece to help set up with our talented photographer, Maxeen Kim.
- Friday: A pamper evening with the ladies, thanks to Ella Lawrence Beauty, followed by a welcome party and casual dinner.
- Saturday: A private brunch for the bridal party, then welcome drinks and canapés, our poolside wedding ceremony, and a 3-course wedding breakfast in the barn.
- Sunday: A leisurely day with breakfast in the cottages, a dip in the hot tub, and a relaxed wood-fired pizza and salad buffet to finish off the weekend.
The Ceremony: Personal, Poolside & Full of Love
The weather was perfect, so we moved our afternoon ceremony poolside. We did a “first look” and then walked down the aisle together with our children — one of the most meaningful moments of the day.

Our celebrant and florist (and dear friend) Claire of Lefkas Weddings wrote our entire ceremony from scratch. We'd legally tied the knot a few days earlier at the local registry office with two witnesses — so Saturday’s ceremony was all heart, no rules.

Flowers & Styling: Wild, Seasonal & Hand-Grown
Claire sourced buckets of seasonal blooms from Blue Shed Flowers, a local grower recommended by Aurora. Jan, the grower, even planted special flowers just for us and created my bouquet, the children’s flower crowns, and my husband’s buttonhole. It was the dreamiest, most personal touch.

Food, Fun & Personal Touches
After the ceremony, we served Aperol spritz cocktails during a laid-back drinks reception with live music from Meghan Rae Music. Guests loved the personalised word search keepsake we created.
Our wedding breakfast was held in the barn and followed by lawn games and one of our favourite DIY touches — a giant wedding cake piñata I made myself (and yes, it was a massive hit!).

A Relaxed Finish
Sunday was gloriously slow. Guests helped themselves to breakfast in their accommodation kitchens, kids splashed in the pool, and the afternoon ended with wood-fired pizzas and drinks in the sunshine. It was everything we’d hoped for — intimate, warm, joyful, and 100% us.
