Colour of the Year 2023: Digital Lavender

DIGITAL LAVENDER
All the colour experts, led by global trend agency WGSN and colour agency Coloro, are forecasting purple as a key colour for 2023 and have named Digital Lavender as the shade of the year.
Specifically a light shade of violet Digital Lavender harmonises two sets of emotions, cheerfulness and calmness, which is perfect for a wedding! This cheerful yet relaxing shade has a soothing and friendly effect, which after the last couple of years is most welcome.
Think of lavender and immediately you’re picturing fields of purple and the heady lavender scent. Being able to smell a colour makes a connection so much stronger and there aren’t many more smells as recognisable as lavender.
It’s a calming and serene colour, and ultimately one of love and romance.
Gender inclusive it is a shade celebrated by all generations but specifically Gen Z, and it will start to come through all fashion product categories by 2023. So expect to see it in your favourite shops on the high street, from clothing to homewares.
